Our growing Healthcare Technology Company is seeking an experienced Business Mid-Level Microsoft SQL Server DBA for a key government contract with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA. This is a hands-on and highly visible position in which you can contribute to the success of a critical national healthcare initiative. Travel is expected at approximately 20%.
The successful candidate will work in the Atlanta office, report to the Project Manager, and will
- Be responsible for the daily database maintenance.
- Coordinate data cleansing and loading processes with various data providers.
- Work with senior staff to troubleshoot issues with the application.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years of Microsoft SQL DBA experience; prior programming background preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of IT working experience required.
- 3+ years experience logical and physical database design, development, analysis, architecture, modeling, administration (backup, restore, etc), and maintenance.
- 3+ years experience with ETL processes to transform, manipulate, load data,data conversions and migrations, ODBC and JDBC connectivity.
- 3+ years experience with T-SQL language, views, triggers, stored procedures and DTS packages.
- Experience in architecting multi-tier, distributed database applications.
- Proven experience in understanding business operations, processes and providing ongoing, customized data reports.
- Proven diagnostic problem solving and solution development capabilities required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Experience with Windows (2000, 2003) operating systems.
- 2+ years experience using Microsoft Analysis Services and Reporting Services a plus.
- Experience with other business intelligence tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and new features a plus.
- Knowledge of Java a plus.
